Results: In 6 reviewed studies (3 English studies and 3 Persian studies), all samples were from emergency department nurses. All studies were designed experimentally and semi-experimentally.
Based on the type of intervention, the teaching method was face-to-face in four studies and combined in two studies. In the combined intervention, along with face-to-face training, approaches including non-face-to-face training, management changes, physical environment changes, violence risk
assessment, and implementation of prevention recommendations were used. The findings showed that in fifty percent of the studies, face-to-face (workshop) and combined training reduce workplace violence against nurses. This change was statistically significant.
